Water / Pumping - Brake Horse Power (BHP)

# BHP - Power required to drive the pump

BHP = (WHP x 100) / E  or  (100 x G x H) / 3,300 E

where,
G = Gallons per minute
H = Total head of water in feet
E = Efficiency of the pump
 WHP = Water Horse Power = (G x H) / 3,300

Efficiency of the pump, E = (WHP x 100 ) / BHP
