Technical Specifications for Screw Press ;

TYPE

• Continuous double scroll screw press for oil palm fruits.

CAPACITY

• Average machine throughput of 23 tonnes FFB per hour at worm screw speed of not exceeding 10 rpm for 500 running hours.

DRIVE

• The squirrel cage motor is to be coupled with a compatible wedge-belt pulley type hydraulic fluid coupling driving a speed-reducer.
• The speed reducer shall be directly connected to the screw press drive shaft via a suitably sized chain type coupling.
• The speed-reducer for the press shall be a Brevini / SEW Eurodrive or approved equivalent unit with a rated output torque of above 48,000 Nm and a reduction ratio of no more than 80:1 and shall have a service factor of 1.6 or better at a press output speed of 10 rpm. The motor shall be 420V 0.8 power factor 50 Hz nominal 1500 rpm and shall not be less than 45 KW for 20 to 25 TPH press.

CAGE & WORM SCREWS

• The press cage shall be of carbon steel material and shall have holes flared from 4mm to 5mm diameters, the smaller diameter being at inside surface of the cage.
• The screw flights shall be of constant pitch.
• The screw-press performance at its rated throughput shall be proven over 500 hours processing its required FFB tonnage.

SHAFTS

• All shafts material used shall be of ASAB 705 high tensile steel shafts or approved equivalent.

MOTORS

• Motor shall be TEFC motor, tropically insulated to Class F, B.S. 2960 or B.S. 3979.
• The drive motor is expected to be not less than 30 KW for 15 TPH press and 45 KW for 20 to 25 TPH press.

POWER HYDRAULICS & PRESSURE CONTROL

• The press shall be equipped with Position Control System, which monitors the pressing pressure (motor current load) and constantly and continuously positioning the press plate to the required pressing pressure. This hydraulic system is designed to auto start upon starting the screw press, and there shall be no pressing load in case if the motor stops as the pressing cone eases off the press cake completely automatically.
• The hydraulic system produces consistent and stable pressing pressure with precise positioning of pressing cone, and has effectively overcome operator dependency.

TEST ON COMPLETION

• Oil loss, less than 7.5% on Non Oily Solids average over 6 continuous hours at rated throughput over three occasions.
• Broken nuts and kernels, less than 8% to total nuts, averaged over 6 hours at rated throughput over three occasions.

DIABETES : Cegah sebelum terkena .....

1. Tidak salah bagi mereka yang tidak mempunyai masalah ini untuk turut sama mengambil langkah berjaga-jaga bagi mengelakkan diabetes.
2. Dengan berbagai usaha yang boleh dilakukan seperti mengawal makanan, olahraga, dan pengambilan ubat penurun gula dalam darah, maka diharapkan gula dalam darah dapat dikendalikan.
3. Namun mungkin ramai yang tidak tahu bahawa perancangan dan pengawalan makanan serta olahraga merupakan usaha penting dalam mengendalikan kandungan gula dalam darah.
4. Didapati ramai penderita diabetes melitus yang hanya mengutamakan ubat penurun gula dalam darah tanpa mengamalkan pola makan yang dianjurkan serta berolahraga. Oleh sebab itu, kebiasaannya, hasilnya kurang memuaskan!.
5. Gula darah yang terkawal baik dalam jangka pendek akan dapat menghilangkan gejala diabetes melitus sedangkan dalam jangka panjang dapat mencegah pelbagai jenis penyakit lain yang boleh berpunca daripada diabetes melitus
   
6. Gula darah dikatakan terkawal baik jika pada keadaan gula dalam darah dua jam setelah makan adalah 120 hingga 160 mg/dl. Disamping itu perlu juga diperhatikan berat badan agar menuju berat badan yang ideal serta kadar lipid darah (kolesterol, trigliserid) juga dalam paras normal.
7. Dengan mengendalikan gula darah secara baik dalam waktu lama, banyak penyakit yang berpunca daripada diabetes melitus yang mungkin dapat dicegah. Ini penting diketahui oleh penderita diabetes melitus.
8. Penyakit kronis biasanya timbul setelah bertahun-tahun menderita diabetes melitus dengan gula yang tidak terkawal dengan baik.
9. Gula dalam darah yang tetap tinggi dalam waktu lama dapat menimbulkan gangguan pembuluh darah otak (stroke), pembuluh darah mata (gangguan penglihatan sampai kebutaan), pembuluh darah jantung (penyakit jantung koroner), pembuluh darah ginjal (penyakit ginjal kronik), serta pembuluh darah kaki (luka yang sukar sembuh).

When very high levels of blood glucose are present for years, it leads to damage of the small blood vessels. This in turn increases the risk of developing complications. Regular monitoring of HbA1c levels can reduce the risk of complications arising from diabetes.

What is glycosylated haemoglobin (HbA1c)?

It is the glucose molecules that irreversibly bind to haemoglobin molecules in red blood cells.

How is HbA1c tested?

HbA1c is tested through measuring the amount of glycosylated haemoglobin in your blood. The higher the glucose concentration in blood, the higher the level of HbA1c.

It is an important long term marker of average blood sugar levels (reflecting average glucose level over the past 2-3 months). Your doctor may order this test if you have diabetes as it involves sending blood samples to clinical laboratories to be tested.

What does your HbA1c reading tell you?

< 6.5% : Glucose in Control
6.5 - 7.5% : Borderline
> 7.5% : Poor Control

What is the difference between a HbA1c test and an instant blood glucose test?

HbA1c results are not affected by daily activity levels, type of foods consumed, or medications unlike instant blood glucose test.
