• steam required - 272.5 kg steam per MT FFB or 600 lb per MT FFB (1 kg = 2.2 lb)
• steam velocity - 30 to 50 meter per second
• specific volume of steam - 0.461 m3/kg @ 45 psig
• specific volume of steam - 0.496 m3/kg @ 40 psig
• mean specific volume of steam - 0.4785 m3/kg
• back pressure - 45 psig (3.06 bar)
• steriliser pressure - 40 psig (2.72 bar)
• steriliser shell thickness - 16 mm MS plate or 0.6298 in
• steriliser liner thickness - 12 mm MS plate or 0.4723 in
• steriliser service factor - 1.20
• pressure safety factor - 1.50
• sterilisation time - 60 minutes
• sterilisation cycle time - 75 minutes
