AVOID THESE MISTAKES ...

  • REPRIMANDING TEAM MEMBERS (or anyone else) in the presence of others.
  • TAKING SIDES with team members during conflict (or otherwise). Be sure to remain independent and objective at all times.
  • CREATING A "Me/My" ENVIRONMENT. Remember, you are both the leader of the team as well as a member of the team.
  • FAILURE TO SOLICIT FEEDBACK FROM YOUR TEAM. Do not assume that you have all of the answers. Always ask for feedback.

sorry if this is the wrong approach i'm using...
sir, i'm a bioprocess eng stud n currently doing my internship in a pom...
though i asked to b assigned in the lab (since i'm more related there) but the admin insisted that i shud undergo all departments... at least i shud know a bit about the whole operation...
i was to report to my sv what i've got every week...
the prob now is, he gave me these questions and until now i cannot find the answers...
he asked me:
"WHY IS GRADING IMPORTANT?WHY DO WE SEGREGATE OLD N FRESH FFB"
my ans were(based on what i've been asking the worker)
1. grading is important because the time required to cook ffb may b different for each level of ripeness... and it is also for the documentation n payment process... if they receive less high quality ffb, they'll pay lower to the supplier etc.
2. segregation of old n fresh fruit is bcoz we dont want the overall ffa value spoiled.old ffb produces higher ffa value.higher ffa value will reduce the price.

but my sv said that out of 100%, i got only 10%... but when i asked other worker, the ans is similar...
i try to search online but to no avail until i found ur blog...
hope u can give me ur opinion...

sikit lg masuk fasa desperate ni... huhu~
tq btw

Dear Randy,

Key objectives of mill operation are to have highest OER & KER and good quality products. To achieve these objectives, FFB grading are conducted to ascertain good quality raw material for milling operation. Efficient and effective mill operation will contribute to better profit to the company.

TQ.
